The third edition of the “El Salt de Tramuntana” cycling race will be held tomorrow, Saturday, October 18, with approximately 150 participants. Riders can choose between two distances: one of 85.6 kilometers, which involves four laps of a closed circuit with the start and finish in Selva and an ascent to Coll de sa Batalla, and another of 44.8 kilometers (two laps of the circuit).
An event on Mallorca’s cycling calendar with which the Selva City Council, the Balearic Government, through the AETIB (Agricultural and Sports Association), as a project funded by the Sustainable Tourism Tax, and the Consell de Mallorca (Mallorca Council), through the Tramuntana Mallorca Consortium, as well as the Selva Merchants Association “Som Tramuntana” (Sun of Tramuntana) aim to boost the area’s economy and promote the Serra natural setting as a privileged environment for practicing the environmentally friendly sport of cycling.
The race will start in Selva’s Plaça Major, starting at 8:30 a.m. Participants will receive a commemorative race jersey and discount vouchers at participating restaurants. The organizers will also set up two refreshment points, one at the top of Coll de Sa Batalla and another at the finish line, for all participating runners.
In-Person Registration
Please note that the organizers will accept in-person registrations at the starting line one hour before the race, provided the runners are licensed by the federation.
